Jeffery Savage and Robert Kidder retire from the Board of Directors after decades of service.

Ron Magoon, President & CEO, announced today that Carolyn Benthien, Kara Olson, Peter Noury and Randy Turmel were elected as new Corporators to Franklin Bancorp, MHC, a mutual holding company and parent corporation of Franklin Savings Bank. The elections were confirmed at the bank’s Annual Meeting of Corporators on December 5, 2018. Also at the meeting, Rebecca Bryant was nominated to a 3-year term as a new Director.

Carolyn Benthien has over 25 years of experience working for non-profit organizations in New Hampshire within the areas of leadership, governance, strategic planning, and resource development through her consulting firm. In addition, she has served as a member and Director for various non-profit and for-profit organizations. A resident of Goffstown, Benthien has two children and three grandchildren.

Kara Olson is the owner of Laconia Refrigeration based in Laconia, and is a member of Associated Builders and Contractors Association. Olson resides in Merrimack with her husband and two children.

Peter Noury is an entrepreneur with experience operating several Great Clips locations throughout southern New Hampshire, as well as owning and operating a construction company along with his wife, Lisa. A resident of Hudson, Noury has two children who are also involved in the daily operations of the family’s businesses.

Randy Turmel has over 32 years of experience in the real estate industry and is a partner with Keller Williams Realty’s Nashua and Salem offices. In addition to his brokerage activities, Turmel is involved in commercial properties and the development of residential communities throughout the greater Nashua area. Turmel and his wife, Susan, reside in Nashua and have two daughters and will soon become grandparents.

During his remarks at the meeting, Charles Chandler, Chair of the Franklin Savings Bank Board of Directors, commented, “It gives me great pleasure to welcome Carolyn, Kara, Peter and Randy as newly appointed Corporators of Franklin Bancorp. They are successful professionals within their businesses and respective communities; they will be great ambassadors for the bank.”

Further, Rebecca Bryant was appointed as a new Director to the Franklin Savings Bank Board of Directors. Bryant is President & CEO of Lakes Region Community Services based in Laconia. She has a solid background in finance and possesses a strong commitment to giving back to the community as evidenced by her many years serving on various non-profit boards and other community activities.

Lastly, the bank recognized the retirements of both Jeffery Savage and Robert Kidder at the meeting. Savage retired from FSB as CEO in 2016 and continued to serve on the Board until the Annual Meeting. Jeff dedicated a combined 30 years to FSB, our customers, and our communities. Bob Kidder served on the Franklin Savings Bank Board of Directors for 30 years and has been a Corporator for 35 years.
