Mobile Banking–Frequently Asked Questions


  • What is Mobile Banking?

    Mobile Banking allows you to conduct an assortment of banking transactions from your mobile phone or tablet. FSB’s mobile apps enable you to check balances, transfer funds, pay bills, find an FSB office, and more—from anywhere in the world with an internet connection.

  • Do I need a special phone?

    Many features are available with non-Smartphones; however, mobile deposit requires an Android or iPhone.

  • Does it cost to use Mobile Banking?

    There is no cost. Just sign up! Remember that message and data rates may apply.

  • How do I enroll in Mobile Banking?

    To enroll for Mobile Banking, you will need an Online Banking account. If you do not have an Online Banking account, visit our Online Banking page to sign up. Once enrolled in Online Banking, return to the Mobile Banking page to receive more information, and to sign up or you can also download our Mobile Banking app by visiting the iTunes, Google Play, or Amazon App Stores.

  • How do I use Mobile Deposit?

    To make a mobile deposit, you’ll need to log into the FSB mobile banking app on your phone or tablet. Be sure to sign the back of your check. Choose the ‘deposit’ option, select the ‘deposit check’ icon, select the account to deposit the check in, and enter the deposit amount. Next, you will then be prompted to take a photo of the front and back of the check. If your deposit is successful, a confirmation page will be displayed. Should you not see the ability to complete a deposit in the mobile app, please request enrollment in mobile deposit by completing this application. Please allow for 2 business days for enrollment to be completed.

  • What types of checks can I deposit using Mobile Deposit?

    Most checks made payable to you and drawn from a bank within the United States can be deposited using Mobile Deposit. The following types of checks cannot be deposited using Mobile Deposit: third party checks, returned or re-deposited checks, jointly payable checks (unless being deposited into an account that is jointly-held and both parties have authorized deposits), money orders, treasurer’s checks, foreign checks, and travelers’ checks.

  • Is there a dollar amount limit for mobile deposits?

    FSB reserves the right to establish limits on the number of checks and/or the total amount of checks deposited using Mobile Deposit. These limits may change from time to time without notice.

  • Can I destroy the check after I finish my deposit?

    FSB recommends you keep the check for 60 days or until you receive confirmation that the deposit has been completed. Remember to destroy your check securely by shredding it.

  • How long will it take for the deposit to show up in my account?

    If your mobile deposit is completed before 5pm on a business day, you will receive credit for your deposit on that same business day. Any deposits made after 5pm will be credited to your account on the next business day.

  • How can I view the check(s) I have deposited?

    Just click on the “deposit” icon in the toolbar at the bottom of the screen. Select “View Deposit History,” then select the deposit you’d like to view, and a “View Check” icon will appear.

  • Can I use Mobile Deposit from multiple devices?

    Yes! If you have downloaded the FSB mobile app to those multiple devices, you can enable Mobile Deposit from any of those devices.

  • How long does it take to upload a deposit?

    This depends on your network connection. In general, deposits take anywhere from 5-30 seconds to upload.

  • I may have lost my phone. What should I do?

    It’s easy to disable Mobile Banking and Mobile Deposit. Visit your FSB Online Account and select the “Options” tab and scroll down to “Manage Devices” in the Mobile Banking section and delete a device. Alternatively, you may call us at 1.800.372.4445 or at 603.934.4445 during business hours and one of our friendly representatives can disable your Mobile Banking and/or Mobile Deposit capabilities.

  • How secure is Mobile Banking?

    With several layers of authentication, your information is protected from unauthorized access. A personal password and phone activation code also help to keep your information secure.

  • What if I would like to add or delete a device from Mobile Deposit?

    Simply log into your FSB Online Banking account, select the “Options” tab, and scroll down to “Manage Devices” in the Mobile Banking section to add or delete a device.

  • Why does my Mobile Deposit listing on the transaction page indicate that it is “Pending”?

    All deposits are reviewed and verified before processing. The deposit will show as “pending” until the transaction is verified. Review and verification of transactions is conducted during business hours.
