Franklin Savings Bank recently donated $2,500 to Northfield Economic Development Corporation to support the organization’s community programming and park improvement initiatives, including funding their Concerts in the Park series and the Fall Family Festival, while also advancing two priority capital projects.
“Local parks offer an important opportunity for community members to connect throughout the year,” explains Brian Bozak, President & CEO of Franklin Savings Bank. “We are happy to contribute to the advancement of these local parks, and appreciate the dedication and effort put forth by the Northfield Economic Development Corporation to make it happen.”
The Concerts in the Park have become a popular community event series that bring families together throughout the summer to enjoy live music. The Fall Family Festival hosts local vendors, while featuring a classic car show, pumpkin decorating station, a petting zoo and other activities for kids. In addition, this donation will also be used to assist in the construction of ADA-accessible walkways at Pines Park and the revitalization of the David King Tryon Skate Park at Surrette Park.
“On behalf of the Northfield Parks Commission and the Northfield Economic Development Corporation, we extend our heartfelt thanks to Franklin Savings Bank for their generous $2,500 donation! This contribution will help us continue revitalizing our community parks, enhancing recreational opportunities, and bringing families and neighbors together through community events. We are incredibly grateful for Franklin Savings Bank’s commitment to investing in our community and helping make Northfield an even better place to live, play, and gather,” comments Stephanie Giovannucci, Town Administrator, Town of Northfield.
