FRANKLIN SAVINGS BANK GIVES $2,000 TO WAYPOINT’S “SLEEPOUT” PROGRAM

April 2, 2025

Franklin Savings Bank recently announced its sponsorship of Waypoint’s “Sleep Out” Program. “Sleep Out” is an annual event that raises awareness and funds for the Waypoint Homeless Youth and Young Adult Programs. As part of the program, Waypoint’s advocates sleep outside in the cold for one night in March to stand in solidarity with homeless youth in NH.
“We acknowledge that homelessness among youth is a real challenge in New Hampshire and want to provide support to the organizations that are working hard every day to assist these young people,” expresses Brian Bozak, President and CEO at Franklin Savings Bank. “We hope that our sponsorship will provide essential services and assistance to those in need.”
This is Waypoint’s 11th year facilitating the SleepOut Program, which supports New Hampshire’s only low-barrier emergency youth shelter and safe space located in Manchester, youth drop-in centers in Manchester and Rochester, and a range of support services that lead to long-term stability.
Mandy Lancaster, Director of Waypoint’s Homeless Youth and Young Adult Program said, “The young people we work with are determined. They have grit. They are survivors. They want to build a future that includes stability and support. With partners like Franklin Savings Bank that support our SleepOut – we continue to ensure we have the community supports in place for young people experiencing homelessness.”
Instead of sleeping outside together as a public demonstration of support for youth experiencing homelessness, advocates participated in SleepOut 2025 on March 21st by sleeping remotely outside. An in-person gathering also took place at Bronstein Park in Manchester.
