FRANKLIN SAVINGS BANK GRANTS $13,000 TO PENACOOK RESCUE SQUAD

September 17, 2026

Franklin Savings Bank recently granted $13,000 to Penacook Rescue Squad (PRS) through its Fund for Community Advancement to support the purchase of automated CPR devices to enhance the delivery of emergency medical care across the communities they serve.

“Every second matters during a medical emergency, and the automated CPR devices can help first responders provide lifesaving care to residents in the area,” explains Brian Bozak, President & CEO, Franklin Savings Bank. “We are proud to support the remarkable work of the Penacook Rescue Squad and their commitment to serving our communities.”

The PRS is a nonprofit emergency medical services provider based in Boscawen, New Hampshire, delivering 24/7 advanced life support (ALS) care to residents throughout its service area. Staffed by highly trained Advanced Emergency Medical Technicians and Paramedics, Penacook Rescue Squad responds to a wide range of medical and trauma emergencies.

“Due to the rural nature of our service area with limited resources, transport times to receiving hospitals can be extended, particularly in winter months. These extended transport times present challenges in maintaining high-quality manual CPR during cardiac arrest calls,” explains Shawn Brechtel, Chief of Department-Paramedic. “Having automated CPR devices will allow our team to more effectively treat patients during a medical emergency.”
