Franklin Savings Bank was happy to assist the Town of Boscawen’s Parks Improvement Project through a grant totaling $13,850. The project, which began this past summer, includes a new 24’ x 48’ timber-framed picnic pavilion, a river overlook, improvements and access to Dorval House, and a redesign and reconstruction of the lower section of Depot Street to facilitate safe and efficient pedestrian and vehicle access to park facilities and provide additional parking. It will also improve fencing and landscaping at the park.
By investing in this infrastructure, Boscawen aims to strengthen regional tourism, foster economic development, and create a welcoming recreational space for residents and visitors alike. The grant will enhance accessibility and expand outdoor recreation opportunities, integrating park use with the Northern Rail Trail and the Merrimack River.
“By supporting the improvement of our local landscape and offering a place for community members to gather, we’re helping to build a stronger, more vibrant community – one that benefits residents, local businesses, and future generations,” explains Brian Bozak, President & CEO, Franklin Savings Bank.
