FSB Awards $40,000 in Grants to 9 Organizations

Grants were awarded through the FSB Fund for Community Advancement.

 

Nine organizations received a grant from the FSB Fund for Community Advancement, the philanthropic arm of Franklin Savings Bank. This round of funding represents the 44th grant cycle totaling $40,000 in awards. This year’s recipients include Belknap House (Laconia), $6,600; Bolduc Park (Gilford), $2,500; Congregational Christian Church of Franklin, $5,000; Hero Pups (Stratham), $5,000; Lakes Region Community Developers (Laconia), $3,500; Lakes Region Community Services (Laconia), $5,000; Peabody Home (Franklin), $7,500; Raven Gael Blaisdell Foundation at Hall Memorial Library (Northfield & Tilton), $2,500; and UpReach Therapeutic Equestrian Center (Goffstown), $2,500.

Ron Magoon, President & CEO, commented, “Supporting our communities is at the core of who we are as a community bank. As we continue to navigate these unprecedented times, the need still exists and we are doing our part to ensure these local organizations are able to continue to fulfill their mission of helping others. This year we received an overwhelming 57 applications, surpassing the most we have ever seen since we established our Fund.”

The recipients will be celebrated at a reception on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at 5:00 pm at Mojalaki Country Club in Franklin, NH.

The FSB Fund for Community Advancement was established in 1997 with a $1,000,000 investment to provide support towards projects that will enhance the lives of individuals in the communities served by Franklin Savings Bank. To date, the Fund has awarded 234 grants totaling $1,069,808 to support a broad range of community activities.
