Event will feature 5K Run/Walk, Market Day and performances by three local artists.
Franklin Savings Bank will celebrate its commitment to serving its customers, businesses and the community with a 150th Anniversary Celebration. The event will take place Saturday, June 29th in downtown Franklin. Planned festivities will include a 5K run/walk, in partnership with Millennium Running; a market day featuring local artisans, food and activities for all ages; followed by live performances by three local artists at Odell Park.
The FSB 150th 5K will start at 9:00 am with registration and check-in beginning at 8:00 am at Paul Smith Elementary School located on Daniel Webster Drive in Franklin. The professionally timed race features a fast, relatively flat loop beginning at the school and stretching along Chance Pond Road to Route 11 (Webster Lake Road) to Range Road finishing at Paul Smith Elementary School. Runners will be provided with chipped bibs and will receive official time results provided by Millennium Running. The first 150 registrants will receive a FREE commemorative moisture wicking race shirt! The registration fee is $20 for adults 18+ and $15 for children 17 and under. The market day portion will take place from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm along Central Street in downtown Franklin. A portion of the street will be closed to two-way traffic to accommodate both vendors and visitors. Other activities planned include face painting and glitter tattoos by Our Creative Imaginings, bedazzling balloons, zany juggling and unusual magic by Mr. Rod, human knocker bubble ball, an 18’ inflatable dual slide provided by Vertical Entertainment, along with Highland Mountain Bike Park’s Interactive Ride Zone.
The festivities will conclude with live performances by the Uncle Steve Band, Tyler Road Band and The Eric Grant Band at Odell Park.
All proceeds raised from FSB’s 150th Anniversary Celebration will be donated to the Veterans Memorial Recreation Ski Area located in Franklin, NH.
