Franklin Savings Bank is excited to announce that they are Silver Sponsors of NH JumpStart Coalition’s “I Can Save” program, which is designed to encourage second grade elementary school children to begin a savings habit that can continue throughout their lives.
As part of the Program, NH JumpStart volunteers visit elementary schools throughout New Hampshire to teach the importance of savings money through fun, interactive activities. Key concepts such as learning the difference between “needs” and “wants” are taught as part of the program.
“We know how important it is to instill positive money habits at a young age,” comments Brian Bozak, President and CEO at Franklin Savings Bank. “Teaching kids to save for a rainy day through fun activities like they have at NH JumpStart, can encourage positive reinforcement throughout the child’s life.”
Students also share ideas about personal resources (talent, time, skills) they possess to help others.
