FRANKLIN SAVINGS BANK PURCHASES $2,500 IN CDFA TAX CREDITS TO SUPPORT NEWFOUND LAKE REGION ASSOCIATION

February 13, 2025

Franklin Savings Bank recently purchased $2,500 in CDFA tax credits to assist the Newfound Lake Region Association with the development of a conservation center at the Grey Rocks Conservation Area in Hebron.
The Grey Rocks Conservation Center will serve the growing needs of the watershed, the community, and Newfound Lake Region Association. It will serve as a hub for innovative watershed science, a community gathering place, an educational center, and an example of sustainable development.

“We are thrilled to contribute to the development of the Grey Rocks Conservation Area because it will help preserve the natural landscape that we have all come to love about the region,” explains Brian Bozak, President and CEO. “Having a location where community members can gather, learn, and enjoy the outdoors is an important part of community building.”

The Grey Rocks Conservation Area will unify the Newfound community behind a shared vision of a healthy watershed and promote a culture of environmental awareness and stewardship, enhancing conservation work and securing a brighter future for Newfound.

“We are so excited to be under construction on the new Grey Rocks Conservation Center in Hebron and we look forward to opening our doors” said NLRA Executive Director Rebecca Hanson. “This will be a publicly-available, environmentally friendly resource center, and will serve as a hub for science, education, community engagement and nature-based exploration. We have received overwhelming community support from local organizations who understand the importance of protecting this beautiful lake for future generations.”
