The leaves are changing color and the air is a bit cooler. Fall is here! With the change in season brings many fun activities, such as apple picking, pumpkin carving, trick or treating, and other outdoor adventures.
If one of your fall activities involves taking in the spectacular color of the leaves, why not visit a local brewery or vineyard along the way? We compiled a short list of some of our favorite breweries and vineyards for you to check out. With more than 30 vineyards in NH and over 90 breweries across the state, featuring a few local favorites feels harder than it should. And that’s great news! Our little state is home to some serious wine and beer making talent, sure to satisfy any palette. We’ll toast to that!

To Share Brewing Company, Manchester, NH
Located in Manchester, NH, To Share offers a wide selection of brews, including Smokey’s Kangaroo West Coast IPA, Gold Civic NEIPA, Use Less Words Pilsner, along with a few seasonal selections, such as Citizen Cider Unified Press and their latest creation, Sophisticated Pumpkin. They also offer several menu options to pair with their fine crafts, including Deep River Potato Chips, meat and cheese board, loaded waffle fries, pizza rolls, and more.
Kettlehead Brewing Company, Tilton, NH
Kettlehead Brewing Company is an ideal spot for anyone visiting the Lakes Region. With a dozen beers featured on their taplist, like their flagship brew, The Agent, visitors to Kettlehead will have plenty to sample and feel challenged to isolate a favorite. Their extensive menus, from apps to tacos, pizza, and a variety of entrees, sandwiches, and salads, offer something for everyone as well as options for kids.

Hermit Woods Winery, Meredith, NH
Did you know that NH is home to a vineyard that was featured in Food and Wine Magazine’s “500 Best Wineries in America,” and was voted the 4th Best Tasting Room in America by USA Today? Do you know which one it is?
If you said Hermit Woods Winery, you would be correct!
From red wines, roses, sparkling wines, dessert wines, meads, and ciders, visitors can pair their preferred vintage with a flatbread or charcuterie board from Hermit Woods’ own, on-site deli.

Black Bear Vineyard
Located 20 minutes north of Concord, Black Bear Vineyard is situated on 17 acres of rolling hills in Salisbury, NH. As one of the largest vineyards in NH, Black Bear produces seven varieties of estate wines, two of which received awards at the 2018 Big E Gold Wine, Cider and Perry Competition, La Crescent and Seyval received Silver and Bronze awards, respectively.
Black Bear offers a tasting room, tours and is available to host special events. Visitors can also take in the beautiful views of the vineyard while sipping a glass of wine on their stone patio or outdoor fireplaces. Swing by and check out them out!
